Container Lifecycle

Please note that due to the nature of containers, there is no guarantee running time. Containers may restart due to various of reasons, in such it is recommended to make use of permanent storage solutions for certain types of data.

(Re)start

If your container is running, a simple container restart will be invoked. If the container is however not running, then it will be created from scratch and started.

Stop

Your container will be stopped and deleted. This is helpful to force a "re-creation" of your container, which might also happen in the background to switch-out hosts.
